Thankfully I was lucky enough to make it to another year. I spent New Year's Eve in church with my family. Everyone always asks me, "why church, you don't even believe in the church?" Well I don't... but my family is there, the people at the church are really good people, and I like being in a calm, controlled environment at the turn of the year. The drinking and the party thing doesn't do it for me. I feel the turning of the year is a time to be relaxed and just reflect on life, and to appreciate the things I have been able to get through. It is really a humbling time for me. I don't do the whole resolution thing either, but the new year does bring a renewed focus on all of the things I need to improve on. Hopefully everyone had a good time however you chose to celebrate, and may 2009 be a prosperous and healthy year for you.
OK that's all for now... thank you for visiting and stay tuned...
New Years was definately good. And I agree that the downtown Crowded area with thousands of Strangers does nuthin for me. Just opens up opportunity for things to go wrong. I don't have a resolution but I can say this will be a year of Success and dedication to Slowly becoming a Better and Greater person.
