My cat Fiona no longer lives with us. Nani tried to pick her up, and the cat scratched her on the forehead. Fiona then proceeded to hiss at her for a while. Nani got mad and ended up taking the cat to the humane society. All this happened while I wasn't home, so I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to her. I feel like the relationship could have worked, but getting their personalities to co-exist wasn't easy. There are times where the cat is going to be a cat, and she is going to get defensive. I understood that and so did Nani, but she didn't care. She always worried about the cat scratching our daughter, and the cat scratching her was the last straw. So now my kitten is in some cage... probably sad and missing home. I miss her too. Damn.
