This blog needs some pictures. They say pictures are worth a thousand words, so I will provide a brief description, and let them do the rest of the talking. Some of the pictures are graphic, but I feel they need to been seen. Often times we get so caught up living in our own little bubble, that we become oblivious to everything else that is going on in the world. Ok enough of me talking, here you go...

This picture is of a Sudanese child attempting to crawl to a United Nations food camp, while a vulture is waiting for the him to die so he can eat him. The photographer who took this photo later committed suicide due to this and other unbearable things he witnessed.
Ok that's all for now... thank you for visiting and stay tuned...

The "Is being a hero really worth it?" & "Imagine what this man has gone through" are buggin the hell out of me. As member of the military (AF) and as evident by your comments, I can guarantee you have no idea what kind of sacrifices and hardships our service members and their families are making everyday. You disagree with the war, cool, but please don’t trivialize what our young service member are doing for us/you around the world. - Wordy Dirts
ReplyDeleteWhat comments are you pertaining to that made you feel I was attempting to trivialize the people who service our country? I felt the questions/comments were pretty neutral. My mother and father were in the armed forces, and my brother and sister still are, so I feel like I do understand the sacrifices these people go through, and I feel the questions I posed were legitimate. I appreciate what everyone who serves our country does. They have my ultimate respect because to be honest, it couldn't be be. I didn't mean to offend anyone, I am just curious to see what exactly you took exception to that I said???
ReplyDeleteSacrificing your life is the ultimate sacrifice. Would it be worth it in regards to fighting/losing your life for your country. Absolutely. Is your freedom and safety worth it? The only reason you and I are able to be here today is because of the past sacrifices of our service men/women.
ReplyDeleteAs for the 2nd pic, I feel no sympathy for that coward in your blog. He has the nerve to deface an American flag with ignorant comments and lies. Sure innocent people are being killed over thats the reality of war. You know, like when thousands of innocent Americans were murdered in New York and DC 9 years ago.
But the shame that solider has is his own shame and not the countries. Just like the shame the 9/11 hijacker had are there own and not the islamic worlds.
